Medication is all about meeting people, having fun and keeping in touch with your
friends. It is important to remember that what you post publicly could embarrass
you or expose you to danger.
However, following a few simple tips will make for a safer, more enjoyable
experience:
Profiles
Never put personal details in your profile or initial messages such as phone
number, email address, home address or place of work.
Don't post anything that may make it easy for a stranger to find you - where
you live/hang out etc.
Be honest with your profile - if you're serious about meeting new people, it
is always better to be yourself.
Avoid posting anything that may embarass you later - eg a photo you wouldn't
want your lecturers/parents/future boss to see!
Messages
Make use of our online messaging system. This will not display any confidential
information about you and will not display your email address.
The messaging system should allow you to get to know other Medication members
without needing to disclose any personal information.
You can only contact other members when you have given them a positive rating
(a green smiley face).
You can prevent another member from contacting you at any time by withdrawing
your positive rating for that person.
If at any point you feel uncomfortable about a member, stop contacting them
and withdraw your positive rating for that member.
If you feel someone has sent you inappropriate messages or is abusing the messaging
service, tell us immediately.
Avoid meeting people in person whom you do not fully know. If you must meet
someone, do it in a public place.
If you follow the simple tips above, you will have a safer and more fun experience
with Medication.co.uk.
